Car Brands With the Nicest Interiors

Enjoy the Comforts of Home With These Car Brands.

Let’s face it, most of us spend entirely too much time in our cars, whether it’s commuting, running errands or carpooling for the kids and their friends. That’s why vehicles with great interiors have an advantage over the competition with a warm, welcome feel. When it’s time to shop for a new vehicle, think about what’s most important to you in terms of ergonomic design, practical storage, and comfort amenities.

On each of the following slides, we’ll highlight an automaker that outshines the competition in terms of interior design and quality. These brands were chosen based on an average of U.S. News interior scores across the lineup. In addition to details about each brand, we’ll show you which of that brand’s vehicles have the best wow factor.

As you read, keep in mind that we update our reviews and rankings throughout the year as we receive new information. That means the scores you see here might not match the scores in a model’s review. Bear in mind as well that our interior scores are calculated relative to their segments, so don’t shop by comparing the scores from luxury and mainstream brands.

Ford - Average Interior Score: 7.53/10

Ford is a Detroit-based brand that tries to be everything to everyone, with a portfolio of sports cars, crossovers and SUVs, trucks, and even electric vehicles.

Entry-level versions of Ford vehicles tend to be basic, while more innovative models are a little on the edgier side, with features like the sustainable materials found in the Mustang Mach-E EV. No matter what new Ford you choose, though, it’s worth noting that the company’s infotainment system is truly an asset to the brand’s interior experience, with crisp graphics and great interfaces. The F-250 SuperDuty pickup shines with a very high interior score, though the bland Escape Plug-in Hybrid drags down the brand’s average.

Ford vehicles with the nicest interiors:
  • 2025 F-250 SuperDuty: 8.9/10
  • 2025 F-150: 8.5/10
  • 2025 F-150 Lightning: 8.4/10

GMC - Average Interior Score: 7.55/10

Among mainstream automakers, and even among other General Motors nameplates, GMC stands out because it sells only trucks and SUVs. Most, but not all, of GMC’s models (the Hummer EV lineup being a notable exception) are essentially nicer versions of similar Chevrolets.

Despite the brand’s rugged image, you’ll find the vehicles are welcoming inside. GMC’s designs are less family-friendly and more professionally oriented, but this brand is a good choice for people who spend a lot of time in their work vehicles and value comfort. Cabin layouts are practical and thoughtful, and with the exception of some of the brand’s smaller and cheaper models, such as the Canyon compact pickup, materials quality is impressive.

GMC cars with the nicest interiors:
  • 2025 Acadia: 8.7/10
  • 2025 Sierra 1500: 8.4/10
  • 2024 Yukon: 7.9/10

Hyundai - Average Interior Score: 7.59/10

In recent years, Hyundai has elevated the styling of its vehicles, inside and out. The brand’s designs are sophisticated and have a warm and welcoming ambiance, whether you’re buying an affordable, entry-level car, an efficient hybrid, or a fully loaded SUV.

Hyundai offers lots of clever features, such as innovative cargo management and storage solutions, that help its vehicles stand out from the crowd. In Hyundai’s top trim levels, such as the elegant Palisade Calligraphy midsize crossover, you’ll also find comfort amenities that rival many luxury brands. That said, if you want to pare down Hyundai’s extensive lineup and avoid models with the plainest interiors, skip the Elantra sedan and even the otherwise snappy Santa Cruz pickup.

Hyundai cars with the nicest interiors:
  • 2025 Tucson: 8.7/10
  • 2025 Palisade: 8.5/10
  • 2025 Tucson Hybrid: 8.3/10
